Specifically, Ioannina will host the 3rd Festival of Gastronomic Cinema from September 13 to 15, dedicated this year to Spanish films with references to gastronomy.

The festival, organized by the Epirus Gastronomy Club and the gastrotourist initiative Food & Paths, in cooperation with the Municipality of Ioannina, will take place at the D. Hatzis Cultural Center. The films shown will focus on the links between food, culture, and cinema, with moviegoers having the chance to taste the culinary creations featured in the films they have just watched. An art exhibition exploring the history of human gastronomy will also be available to the public, and a concert featuring Greek songs dedicated to food will complement the event.

In Piraeus, the municipal authority is organizing the 3rd Piraeus Taste Festival – Seafood & More, from September 27 to 29, as part of the broader Destination Piraeus program.

The event, which will also include cultural happenings and entertainment, will take place in some of the city’s most iconic spots, such as Pasalimani, Mikrolimano, and Papanikoli Square at Zea Marina. It aims to highlight Piraeus’ gastronomic identity, promoting the city as a unique tourist destination. Visitors will have the opportunity to try local cuisine and sample culinary creations by well-known chefs.
