The number of new buses now active in the area east of Athens, now increases to 50, having been acquired through OASA’s recent international tender. Photo source: Transport Ministry The new buses are equipped with modern systems, ecofriendly and provide upgraded and updated public transportation experiences for all passengers, with the number of daily bus rounds also being increased. Vasilis Economou, deputy minister for Transportation remarked on the occasion that “passengers have already expressed positive opinions for the upgrading of public transportation in eastern Attica, encouraging us to work wisely, collectively and methodically for the Public Transportation system and the enhancement of the quality of life in East and West Attica.” New buses, East Attica destinations The new buses will serve the following destinations in East Attica: Peania, Koropi, Pallni, Pikermi, Gerakas, Rafina, Spata, Loutsa (Artemida), Anavyssos, Palea Fokea, Anthousa, Glyka Nera, Marathonas, Nea Makri, Vari, Varkiza, Saronida, Vouliagmeni.
