East Attica Welcomes Another 20 New Public Buses, Fleet Renewal on Schedule

With 20 more new buses going on service on the roads of East Attica, Greece’s Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation, Christos Staikouras, his deputy Vasilis Economou and Athens Mass Transit System (OASA) CEO, Giorgos Spiliotopoulos visited the new bus hub in Koropi.

The number of new buses now active in the area east of Athens, now increases to 50, having been acquired through OASA’s recent international tender.

The new buses are equipped with modern systems, ecofriendly and provide upgraded and updated public transportation experiences for all passengers, with the number of daily bus rounds also being increased.

Vasilis Economou, deputy minister for Transportation remarked on the occasion that “passengers have already expressed positive opinions for the upgrading of public transportation in eastern Attica, encouraging us to work wisely, collectively and methodically for the Public Transportation system and the enhancement of the quality of life in East and West Attica.”

New buses, East Attica destinations

The new buses will serve the following destinations in East AtticaPeania, Koropi, Pallni, Pikermi, GerakasRafina, SpataLoutsa (Artemida)AnavyssosPalea Fokea, AnthousaGlyka NeraMarathonasNea MakriVariVarkizaSaronidaVouliagmeni.
