The tender is for a 25-year concession to develop, maintain, operate, manage, and exploit the resort. Located in Pindos National Park, spanning the regional units of Grevena and Ioannina, the resort covers 6,200,000 square meters across the Vassilitsa and Baldouma mountains. The three entities expressing interest in the concession are: – Maheridou and Co., Sales of Special Machinery, Ski Resort Management Services (ECO-TECH) – MY ADVENTURE – Vasilios Tzoumakas – UCERT One Person IKE As announced by HRADF, the tender process will proceed in two phases. The first phase will assess the technical and financial qualifications of the participants. The second phase will involve inviting binding offers from the qualified investors. The tender marks the first time the Greek government is seeking to develop the Vassilitsa Ski Center in collaboration with private investors, and it is the first instance of a Greek ski resort being transferred to the private sector through a concession agreement. The resort is conveniently located near Thessaloniki and is accessible from various northern Greek areas, such as Grevena and Ioannina, via the Egnatia Highway. It is also situated close to significant cultural sites, including Meteora and Vergina, enhancing the appeal of Vassilitsa Ski Center. Thanks to the Egnatia Highway, Vassilitsa is 130 kilometers from Ioannina Airport and 213 kilometers from Thessaloniki Airport, making it a desirable destination for visitors from across Greece and abroad. Currently, the Vassilitsa National Ski Center features 7 lifts serving 18 ski slopes, including two designated for beginners.
