As part of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Greece and Argentina, Ambassador Luis Alfredo Azpiazu met with Peloponnese Governor Dimitris Ptohos to explore expanding collaboration into new sectors. The Ambassador was accompanied by Consul Nicola Pasaman and artist Marily Xaga. During the meeting, Governor Ptochos underscored Peloponnese’s strengths in the primary sector and exports, highlighting the potential for new collaborations. “Peloponnese is a place rich in history, productive activity and tourism potential, and we look forward to exploring new possibilities for cooperation with Argentina,” said Governor Ptochos. Greek diaspora: A key pillar in strengthening bilateral ties Highlighting the Greek diaspora in Argentina as a crucial pillar for strengthening transnational ties, discussions also focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in culture, tourism, and trade. “The ambassador’s visit presents a key opportunity to strengthen our countries’ ties in culture, tourism, and commercial cooperation,” he added.
