The Italian restaurant Mercato at the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is welcoming the new winter season with the addition of Maggie Tampakaki as the new chef, effective October 15.

Maggie’s extensive experience in Italian cuisine will bring a fresh perspective to Mercato’s winter menu, which will be unveiled later in November. The menu will highlight the restaurant’s popular brunch offerings.

“With her experience and passion, Chef Maggie Tampakaki breathes new life into Mercato, offering a dining experience that promises to captivate our guests,” the restaurant management stated.

During her studies in Italy, Maggie discovered her passion for cooking. She honed her skills at the Culinary School in Rome and gained valuable experience at the renowned Ristorante Essenza.

Upon returning to Greece, she played a key role in establishing the award-winning Napule restaurant in Athens, where her sophisticated creations, emphasizing seasonal ingredients and bold flavors, won over gastronomy enthusiasts.

Maggie gained widespread recognition in Greece through her participation in the TV show MasterChef and later became a judge on Junior MasterChef. She now continues her television career on the show Welcome Kids, where she inspires young chefs to create unique dishes.

Additionally, Maggie collaborates with UNICEF to promote the importance of a balanced diet for children.
