Demand from French travelers to visit Greece in 2025 is on the rise, creating positive expectations for the country’s tourism market, according to Greek inbound travel agency Yalos Tours.

The insight was gathered during the agency’s participation in the recent International & French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa 2024, held during September 17-19 in Paris.

While the trends are promising, representatives from Yalos Tours expressed concerns regarding the pricing policies of Greek hotels and tourism professionals, which may deter some French travelers.

A major event for tourism professionals

IFTM Top Resa is Europe’s leading international tourism exhibition, focusing primarily on business tourism. The event attracted over 50,000 attendees, including 32,000 professionals, and hosted more than 1,700 exhibitors. Held at the Port de Versailles, a prominent exhibition venue in Paris, it served as a hub for tourism professionals to network and establish new partnerships. Yalos Tours’ stand was located within the pavilion of the Greek National Tourism Organization’s (GNTO).

Athens-based Yalos Tours specializes in the French market and boasts an extensive network of partners in France, Belgium, and Switzerland.

During B2B meetings with local tour operators, the travel agency’s representatives discovered that Greece remains a top destination for French travelers, with 2 million visitors choosing the country for their vacations. However, July and August marked a turning point, experiencing a 12 percent decline in demand due to the Olympic Games held in Paris.

Fostering new synergies

These positive trends in Greek tourism have paved the way for new synergies between Yalos Tours and leading French industry professionals. The newly formed partnerships are expected to attract more visitors to Greece through specialized holiday packages designed for both solo travelers and larger groups. Additionally, Yalos Tours is expanding its international network to provide personalized, high-end services.

To promote its packages and cater to professionals’ needs, the agency offers the yalostours.net B2B online platform, which provides real-time access to prices and availability for over 5,800 hotels. On the platform, travelers can also explore tailored holiday options based on their preferences, complete with detailed descriptions of the hotels and the services they offer.

GNTO Secretary General Andreas Fiorentinos, Attica Governor Nikos Hardalias, and Metropolitan Attica President Dimitris Fragakis visited Yalos Tours’ stand, inviting French travelers to enjoy Greece’s offerings in 2025.
