GB Roof Garden Restaurant in Athens Unveils New Flavors and Refreshed Style

Greek tourism and lifestyle journalists experiencing the open-air Bar8 lounge at the newly renovated GB Roof Garden Restaurant.

The newly renovated GB Roof Garden Restaurant, situated atop the iconic Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, celebrated its official reopening with an exclusive event for Greek tourism and lifestyle journalists held in its open-air Bar8 lounge.

Guests were invited to experience the refreshed space, take in the majestic atmosphere, and enjoy an evening with stunning views over the heart of Athens.

The impressive redesign of the GB Roof Garden by the award-winning British design firm Goddard Littlefair brings an elegant charm that captivates visitors upon arrival.

The new dining hall features natural materials like white marble and wood, adding depth and authenticity to the space.

“These elements frame one of the restaurant’s most impressive features: a magnificent view of the Acropolis,” said Hotel Grande Bretagne Public Relations Manager Maria Koutzabasi.

At a live food station, Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis showcased the Bar Bites menu, featuring fusion flavors that have quickly become popular at Bar8. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails and took in the view, creating an evening full of memorable moments right in the heart of Athens.

The updated staff uniforms, created in collaboration with renowned Greek fashion house Zeus+Dione, added a notable touch to the evening. Designed in soft beige, olive, and classic black, the uniforms reflect modern style with elements of Greek tradition, perfectly complementing the atmosphere of the restaurant.

With its refreshed ambiance, the GB Roof Garden continues to set the standard for the Athenian culinary scene, embodying the essence of Greek hospitality.
