Top political and business leaders, along with influential thinkers and innovators in the hospitality industry, will come together on October 15-16 for the “Reimagine Tourism in Greece” conference in Athens. The event aims to redefine the future of Greek tourism through a focus on sustainable development and community impact.

An initiative by Kathimerini in partnership with the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the conference will outline a strategic roadmap for tourism development that harmonizes infrastructure innovation with environmental and community preservation.

This year’s event, continuing the open dialogue initiated in 2023, will be held at AEGEAN’s new hangar at Athens International Airport (AIA) and will feature a keynote address from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The conference will showcase alternative tourism models, best practices in managing current challenges, and new research on tourism trends and visitor satisfaction.

Additionally, the agenda will cover essential topics like infrastructure, destination management, and sustainability.

Discussions will include a case study on Santorini, research on international destination management by PwC, and insights on the integration of mobility within sustainable infrastructure planning.

The event will be streamed live on ekathimerini.com for remote attendees.
