Four representatives from Serbia’s leading tour operators and travel agencies recently had the opportunity to explore the attractions of Preveza and Kalambaka in Greece.

The Serbian tourism professionals participated in a familiarization (fam) trip organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) office in Serbia, in collaboration with the municipalities of Preveza and Kalambaka .

The invitation aimed not only to showcase the beauty of mainland Greece but also to inspire the Serbian tourism professionals to develop road holiday packages for the region.

The participants included Elena Dordevic Rakic from Filip Travel, Marijana Stevic from Argus Tours, Sladjana Neskovic from Mediterraneo Holidays, and Ana Manasijevic from Belvi Travel.

During their visit, they explored the natural beauty and cultural treasures of the area while experiencing a variety of hospitality options at local hotels.

The Serbian professionals toured significant sites, including Ancient Nikopolis, the Meteora monasteries, and the prehistoric cave of Theopetra. They also enjoyed a cruise in Amvrakikos Gulf.

Under the imposing rocks of Meteora, the visitors participated in gastronomy and wine tasting events, returning home enchanted by the locals’ hospitality and impressed by the year-round thematic tourism opportunities available.

The GNTO Serbia office organized the fam trip as part of its strategy to promote lesser-known destinations in Greece and highlight their unique thematic offerings, showcasing the diversity of the mainland’s tourism product.
