Hellenic Seaplanes, a Greek seaplane company, successfully conducted its inaugural trial flight to Ermioni, located in the regional unit of Argolis.

According to the company, the milestone marks a significant advancement in alternative transportation options within Greece.

During the flight, the seaplane crossed the riviera of the Peloponnese, soaring over Porto Heli, Kilada, and the islands of Spetses, Hydra, and Poros before arriving at the port of Ermioni, offering passengers stunning views throughout the journey.

According to a company announcement, the flight is a key component of Hellenic Seaplanes’ strategic plan to connect Ermionida with major destinations, including Athens, the Aegean and Ionian islands, and other locations in the Peloponnese, such as Kalamata and Kyllini.

He highlighted the company’s commitment to linking the Greek islands with the country’s coastal regions through modern, sustainable, and safe transportation.

Polychronis Rontogiannis, Land Operations Director at Hellenic Seaplanes, noted that the introduction of seaplane services provides a new transportation option for Ermioni, significantly contributing to the area’s tourism and economic development.

Hellenic Seaplanes is actively advancing its plans to establish a comprehensive seaplane network across Greece, which aims to transform the country’s transportation landscape by connecting regions known for their unique natural beauty and tourist appeal.
