Greek airline SKY express is further expanding its international network by launching direct flights between Athens and Tirana, the capital of Albania.

The new service operates five times a week, with flights available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

With the new connection, SKY express continues to strengthen its international network. By early December, the airline will also introduce routes to Yerevan, Tbilisi, Istanbul, Prague, Vienna, and Amsterdam, bringing the total number of international destinations served year-round to 22.

“This direct route to Tirana, a European capital of strategic importance for our network due to the strong ties between Greece and Albania, provides passengers with access to our extensive network of 33 Greek destinations,” said SKY express Chief Commercial Officer Gerasimos Skaltsas.

The Athens-Tirana route will be serviced by ATR 72-600 aircraft, which are considered ideal for regional connections. With an average age of just two years, SKY express operates the youngest and one of the most environmentally friendly fleets in Europe, comprising 27 aircraft.

“Our goal is to continue offering reliable, high-quality, and economical travel options while enhancing connections between Greece and Albania,” said Skaltsas, adding that the expansion also contributes to the growth and international presence of Greece.
