The next phase of renovations will focus on all guest rooms and suites, with construction planned to allow for uninterrupted hotel operations. According to the hotel’s management, the process will unfold in two stages: – The first phase will begin in November 2024, covering 253 rooms in one of the hotel’s three wings, with completion anticipated by the end of May 2025. – The second phase will run from November 2025 to April 2026, addressing the remaining rooms. The hotel will also undertake a major overhaul of the Tobar lounge in the lobby and add a new infinity pool on the Acropolis Terrace, located on the sixth floor, further enhancing the hotel’s amenities. “Upon completion of the extensive renovation, the Athenaeum InterContinental aims to meet evolving industry demands, offering guests elevated standards of comfort, quality, and service within a refined Athenian setting,” the hotel’s management said in a company announcement.
