The Municipality of Argostoli on Kefalonia has launched its first destination podcast aiming to enhance the island’s tourism and promote local culture.

Named “Kalimera Kefalonia” and presented in English, the podcast aired online in June and is hosted by Marina Vergottis, Public Relations Manager of the Municipality’s Tourism Committee, and Ion Linardatos, PR and Communication Manager. Together, they aspire to highlight the island’s rich heritage and attractions as part of the municipality’s marketing efforts.

“We aim to effectively share stories and aspects of Kefalonia that contribute to its unique identity,” said Vergottis.

“Kalimera Kefalonia” aims to engage a global audience with a wide range of topics to highlight Kefalonia’s many facets. According to the municipality, every episode provides listeners with valuable insights, encouraging them to explore the extraordinary options on the island.

As part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to position Kefalonia as a premier travel destination, the podcast features well-researched discussions, expert guests, and practical recommendations in each episode, making it a comprehensive guide for prospective visitors interested in local culture.

“We are excited to present the diverse experiences that Kefalonia has to offer and to invite the audiences to visit and discover it for themselves,” Linardatos said.

The podcast is produced with the assistance of the Department of Digital Marketing and Communications of the Ionian University on Kefalonia, further enriching its content and outreach.
