Launched in 2021, Ibiza JoySail has quickly become a favorite among yachting enthusiasts, now an exclusive invitation-only regatta. The superyacht race returns with excitement from September 18 to 21, 2025. The organizing committee recently confirmed that registration will open in January, offering limited spots for the select participants who receive a coveted invitation. “This race isn’t just action on the sea, but also a wonderful combination of activities on the water and on land, and people seem to really like it,” said Nacho Postigo, Race Director. Superyachts thrill the waters of Ibiza Photo source: Ibiza JoySail Superyacht Regatta Designed to highlight the beautiful coastlines of the Balearic Islands, Ibiza JoySail coincides with the end of the Mediterranean yachting season. This year, between 18 and 21 September, the event saw some thrilling racing from eighteen superyachts. The boats sailed the waters off Ibiza and Formentera in unpredictable winds and on challenging routes, rounding Formentera, Espardell Nature Park and the island of Es Vedrá on the different days. Apart from the races, there are many onshore activities, parties, and networking opportunities for yacht owners, crews, and participants. For four days, yachts enthusiasts enjoyed an unparalleled party atmosphere designed for almost five hundred people. “It has everything that you could ask for,” noted Tony Rey, Tactician on Maximus yacht, who attended Ibiza JoySail for the first time. “Our team loves it, our owner is having a fantastic time, the parties are fun…and hopefully we’ll come back next year,” he added. Ibiza JoySail is the result of joint efforts and a great team, making it an event that enjoys valuable collaboration from sponsors, institutions, and partners. Leading companies in the yachting industry such as North Sails, RigPro, Global Yachting, Repsol, Monzó Yacht Painting and Yacht Moving provided technical and logistical support on site, guaranteeing the best service to the yachts in the event of any needs or emergency repairs.
