WTM London Celebrates the Winners of the Best Stand Awards for 2024

The winners of the World Travel Market London 2024 Best Stand Awards were announced on Wednesday, November 6.

This year’s judging committee included, James Campion, head of exhibitions sales of Excel London; Tina Charisma, WTM Conference Advisor; Kathryn McCarthy, marketing director of UK Hub, RX Global; Hugo McCullagh, communications officer of Just a Drop; Dan Pearce, chief executive of TTG Media; Paul Richer, senior partner of Genesys Digital Transformation/TTI.

The Best Stand Winners of WTM London 2024 are the following:

Best Stand Design over 150 square meters:
Andalusia

The stand featured a space boldly incorporating local architecture.

“It caught the eye from a distance because of the incredibly striking imagery on the banners displayed around the sides of the stand, complemented by bold lighting. The stand really has presence on the show floor,” the judges commented.

Best Stand Design, 50-150 square meters:
Trenitalia

The judging committee was impressed by its locomotive-inspired creation. 

“It was a smart use of space and resources. It was well thought out and it represented the brand well,” the judges said.

Best Stand Design under 50 meters squares:
Instituto do Turismo de Cabo Verde

The judges praised its vibrancy which made them feel like they were there. They also noted that it was already busy early in the day.

Highly commended in this category was CodeGen (S2-318).

“It beautifully displays what the company does, then in front of that there’s a good amount of room for business,” the judges said.

Best Stand for Doing Business: 
Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau

The judges highlighted its corporate yet cozy atmosphere with loads of venues to do business in.

Best Stand Feature:
Tourism Authority of Thailand

Thailand tourism board used its creativity to showcase its local products.

“It was actually evocative of the local culture. A lot of thought went into the dressing and presentation.” They also admired “the link between tourism and local communities,” the judges remarked.

Neom (S8-400) was highly commended in this category for its “sensory activation” incorporating an immersive room and fragrance you could smell on approach.

Best Newcomer:
Soudah Peaks by Soudah Development

The judges admired how the tactile nature of the set design contrasted with the giant LCD screen.

“It captures your attention because it fuses culture with technology,” they commented, also noting visitors were being served with delicacies of the region.
