Photo source: GNTO Greece took center stage at the 2024 Travvy Awards in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, celebrated for its distinctive tourism offerings and promotional approach. Celebrating a decade, the awards recognize top suppliers, destinations, technology providers, attractions, airlines, cruise lines, and more, chosen by U.S. travel agents. Over 200,000 U.S. travel agency executives participated in this year’s poll, casting their votes via Agent@Home magazine and TravelPulse.com. Greece earned top distinctions in the following categories: – Best European Destination – Best Mediterranean Destination – Best European Cruise Destination Additionally, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) received the Gold Award for Best Tourism Board in Europe. The Travvy Awards ceremony was held as part of Travel Weekly’s annual CruiseWorld workshop, organized by the NorthStar Travel Group. Running from November 6 to 8, the workshop included participation from the Greek tourism board’s North American branch. This year, over 300 exhibitors participated, including cruise lines and national tourism organizations from Greece, Israel, Croatia, Malta, Australia, and several Latin American countries.
