Photo source: Shipping Ministry Greek Minister for Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Christos Stylianidis recently highlighted the crucial role of Greek shipping in supporting global supply chains and ensuring maritime security, particularly in key global sea routes. Speaking at the “Great Oceans Dialogue” held in New Delhi on November 18-19, Stylianidis addressed several pressing challenges facing international shipping today, including decarbonization, digitalization, and the need to attract and train young talent in the maritime sector. He stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between Greece and India, particularly within the framework of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Minister Stylianidis reiterated the message from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, calling for closer and more multifaceted cooperation between Greece and India in the maritime sector.
