For the tenth year running, the awards honor the most unique, important and cultural properties spanning across the continent and recognize their excellence in hospitality. Photo source: Historic Hotels of Europe Awards Located on Rhodes Island, the Allegory Boutique Hotel received the gold distinction in the Historic Art of Hospitality category, celebrated for its authentic Greek hospitality and cultural ambiance “In a cluster of historic townhouses in the mediaeval heart of Rhodes, Allegory Boutique Hotel strikes a beautiful balance between its old-world heritage and modern design,” the organizers highlighted. Avli Lounge Apartments in Rethymno, Crete, received the second gold award in the Historic “A Story to Share” category. According to the organizers, the Avli Apartments reflect Crete’s rich history, housed within a Venetian lord’s home, an olive press, a soap factory, and a tannery.
