Starting this month, Scoot will add weekly flights to Chiang Mai (northern Thailand) and Hanoi (Vietnam’s capital), boosting services to 11 and 6 times per week, respectively. From December 2024, flights to Perth (Western Australia) will rise to 14 times weekly, with Melbourne (southeastern Australia) increasing to 13 and then twice daily from January 2025. Seoul (Incheon, South Korea) via Taipei (Taiwan) will become a daily service, while flights to Tokyo (Narita, Japan) via Taipei will increase to 14 times weekly. “We are excited to expand services to meet demand during the festive season and continue offering convenient, enjoyable travel with Scoot,” said Calvin Chan, Scoot’s Chief Commercial Officer. Within Southeast Asia, services to destinations operated by the Embraer E190-E2 will also rise, including Davao (southern Philippines), Balikpapan (Indonesian Borneo), and Makassar (Sulawesi, Indonesia). New services to Kertajati (Greater Bandung, Indonesia) and Malacca (Malaysia) will launch in late 2024, following the recent addition of daily flights to Subang (near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
