On December 1 at 7 pm, the SNFCC will light up its premises, including the Agora and the Canal, to mark the start of the Christmas festivities with a live music event showcasing pop artists and soul-funk rhythms. “The decorated fir trees dominate the Agora, the plane trees along the Canal are decorated with thousands of lights, and the stage at the Agora is all set up for the most glamourous celebration,” the foundation said in an announcement. Airing live on Greek national television, the event will begin with Greek actress Smaragda Karydi welcoming visitors before introducing VOX The Acapella Group, Greece’s first pop polyphonic band that uses the human voice as its sole instrument. The Canal’s Fountains, in harmony with the festive atmosphere, will present spectacular daily water shows inspired by melodies of renowned composers and popular hits, while the Ice Rink will welcome skaters of all ages and skill levels to glide across its ice.
