This move follows a management agreement between Mitsis Group and Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), one of Southern Europe’s leading owners of resort hotels, which is backed by funds managed by Blackstone and GIC. The Alexander the Great Hotel is located on a lush hillside, 80 meters above Kryopigi’s renowned Kassandra beach. This addition to Mitsis Group’s portfolio represents the sixth management agreement signed by the group in the last two years, following similar partnerships in Corfu, Crete, Santorini, and Halkidiki. “This long-term agreement is a significant step in our expansion strategy,” said Stavros Mitsis, Managing Director of Mitsis Group. “It enables us to extend our high standards of service to new destinations across Greece, while further enhancing our brand’s presence in the hospitality industry.” The hotel will transition into a family-friendly, all-inclusive luxury resort in 2025. Mitsis Group will leverage its advanced Hotel Operation Management services and digital infrastructure to ensure maximum operational efficiency, in line with the latest industry standards. Spanning a coastal area of 34 acres, the Alexander the Great Hotel offers 208 rooms and nearly 2 kilometers of beachfront with stunning sandy shores and turquoise waters. The property features two restaurants, three bars, a communal pool, tennis courts, a children’s playground, and a mini market. The hotel is approximately an hour’s drive from Thessaloniki International Airport “Makedonia”, with the cosmopolitan area of Kallithea just 1 kilometer away. As Greece’s largest privately-owned hotel chain, Mitsis Group has been a leader in the tourism sector for over 45 years. The group’s portfolio includes 24 city, beach, and resort hotels with 4- and 5-star ratings, alongside 13 spa and thalassotherapy centers across Athens, Piraeus, Halkidiki, Crete, Corfu, Kamena Vourla, Kos, Santorini, and Rhodes.
