Coming from Halkidiki, the tree stands outside the Piraeus Municipal Theater, adorned with 100,000 lights, as the centerpiece of events set to unfold in the city center and its neighborhoods, featuring concerts, performances, and traditional customs. Hosts Katerina Zareifi and Xaris Xronopoulos will present the lighting ceremony before giving the stage to singer Katerina Lioliou, who will entertain the audience with a Christmas concert. Afterwards, the municipality’s Philharmonic Wind Orchestra, the Choir of the Schools of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus, and the Angel Dancesport Academy will enhance the event with festive melodies and performances. Red Night: On Friday, December 20, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Piraeus stores invite people to enjoy attractive offers and special discounts, transforming the area into a vibrant shopping hub filled with festive cheer. Santa Night Run: On December 21, at 5 p.m., Piraeus will host the Santa Night Run, a unique sporting event for a good cause. Participants of all ages, dressed as Santa Claus, will take part in a festive route through the main streets of the city.
