athens Hotel Grande Bretagne Makes Condé Nast Traveler’s 2025 Gold List Again by GTP editing team 16 December 2024 written by GTP editing team 16 December 2024 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 41 Hotel Grande Bretagne, a luxury hotel in Athens, has once again earned a spot on the prestigious Gold List of Condé Nast Traveler among the best hotels and resorts for 2025. This marks another significant achievement for the hotel, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2024. The Gold List is an annual compilation of the editors’ all-time favorite hotels and cruises, recognized for their exceptional service, beauty, and the unique experiences they provide. Notably, Hotel Grande Bretagne is the only hotel in Athens to receive this honor and one of just three hotels representing Greece, alongside Canaves Ena on Santorini and Kalesma Mykonos. According to Condé Nast Traveler: “For 31 years, the editors of Condé Nast Traveler have been compiling this annual compendium of hotels and cruises we’ve discovered, or fallen in love with all over again. We highlight them not only for their beauty, comfort, or impeccable service, but also because we’ve developed deeply emotional relationships with them: These are the hotels and cruises we recommend to our friends, that we tell stories about later.” Hotel Grande Bretagne’s 150-year legacy continues to stand as a beacon of luxury and hospitality. “This distinction in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2025 Gold List is a particularly significant achievement for the hotel, which remains a landmark of hospitality in Greece, offering authentic luxury and unforgettable experiences,” said the hotel’s management in an announcement. In her description, Condé Nast Traveler editor Rachel Howard noted: “The GB (as locals call it) is almost as much of an Athenian landmark as the Parthenon itself. Overlooking Parliament square and the Presidential Guard, its luxurious interiors embody the charm of a grand European hotel with gleaming marble floors, elegant floral arrangements, and gilded mirrors. While the hotel’s rooftop bar is a draw, the real hidden gem is its subterranean spa, where an exceptional massage and 111 Skin facial will leave you feeling rejuvenated.” Join the 15,000+ travel executives who read our newsletter Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
