As part of its strategic expansion, SKY express has introduced direct flights from Athens, Greece, to Tbilisi, the capital and largest city of Georgia.
The new route operates three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays — further enhancing the cultural and economic ties between Greece and Georgia.
According to a company announcement, the addition of Tbilisi to SKY express’s network marks a significant milestone in air connectivity between the two countries.
“We are thrilled to partner with Tbilisi International Airport, which represents an important step in our strategic growth within the Caucasus region,” said SKY express Chief Commercial Officer Gerasimos Skaltsas. “This new direct flight not only strengthens our presence in the region but also meets the growing demand for travel between Greece and Georgia.”
The launch of the new connection is the first in a series of planned routes within Eastern Europe.

“We look forward to welcoming passengers traveling from Tbilisi to Athens, and connecting them to the extensive domestic network that SKY express offers across Greece,” Skaltsas added. The airline currently serves 33 destinations within Greece.
In December, SKY express expanded its international reach with seven new destinations: Amsterdam, Vienna, Yerevan, Istanbul, Prague, Tbilisi, and Tirana. This brings the airline’s total to 22 international destinations with direct flights.
With a fleet of modern Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, averaging just 3.5 years in age, SKY express continues to prioritize innovation and exceptional service, maintaining the youngest fleet in Greece.
