Thessaloniki Airport Welcomes the Holidays with Special Events by Fraport Greece

Fraport Greece, the operator of 14 regional airports in Greece, is ushering in the festive season at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” with the “Enchanted Forest”, a Christmas village bringing holiday magic to travelers.

The village will officially open on Monday, December 23, at 6 pm on the Departures Level (next to the Passenger Screening Area). Until January 5, visitors of all ages can take part in free festive activities at the Christmas village.

The “Enchanted Forest” is crafted to provide unforgettable experiences for everyone, regardless of age. With a diverse program of activities and a festive atmosphere, the Christmas village aims to become a highlight of the holiday season in Thessaloniki. This initiative strives to create a unique festive environment not just for travelers but also for local residents, ensuring a memorable Christmas experience for everyone.

Admission is free for all, allowing visitors to participate in creative activities, meet Santa Claus, take photos with elves and mascots, and enjoy the impressive performances by stilt walkers.

Additionally, the “Enchanted Forest” will host special workshops for children to create their own Christmas cards or send letters to Santa Claus.

“The Christmas village is the perfect place to experience the magic of the season with your loved ones. Whether you are a traveler or a resident of Thessaloniki, come and enjoy the unique festive atmosphere at the Christmas village at Thessaloniki Airport ‘Makedonia,” Fraport management said in a statement.
