The Latvian airline recently announced that it is forced to cancel flights from all its bases for the next summer season, due to its engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney failing to meet timely maintenance obligations. These delays have impacted the operational capacity of airBaltic’s Airbus A220-300 fleet, forcing the airline to adjust its summer schedule. Regarding that, flights from Riga to Mykonos, as well as Vilnius and Tampere to Rhodes, are no longer available. “The airline deeply regrets the disruption caused by these forced cancellations and remains fully committed to supporting affected customers through rebooking options or full refunds as needed,” the carrier said in a statement, adding that external factors like global supply chain disruptions and maintenance limitations have impacted operations. The list of cancelled routes includes: – From Riga Airport: Aberdeen, Belgrade, Cluj-Napoca, Yerevan, Gothenburg, Mykonos, Pristina, Rzeszow, Skopje, Stavanger – From Vilnius: Dubrovnik, Ibiza, Rhodes, Chisinau, Tel Aviv, Valencia – From Tallinn: Dubrovnik, Hamburg Passengers are advised to check their reservations through the “Manage My Booking” section on airBaltic.com, where they can choose alternative flights or request a full refund.
