More than 3,500 passengers enjoyed the festive Christmas atmosphere at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia”, taking part in celebrations organized by Fraport Greece, the operator of 14 regional airports across Greece.

The impressive “Enchanted Forest”, the Christmas village set up in the Departures area of the airport, was an initiative by Fraport Greece aimed at creating a festive experience for travelers and residents of the city.

This initiative, along with the various activities implemented from December 23 to January 5, served as a meeting point, offering moments of fun and relaxation to all visitors and passengers passing through.

Among the activities that delighted children and adults alike were face painting, photoshoots with Santa Claus, special appearances by mascots and stilt walkers, and creative workshops where participants could send letters to Santa Claus and make Christmas cards. Additionally, passengers had the opportunity to collaborate with Santa’s elves to create souvenir crafts, an activity that brought joy to participants of all ages.

“More than 3,500 people visited the “Enchanted Forest” during the holidays, reflecting Fraport Greece’s strong commitment to combining the promotion of the destinations it operates in with upgrading the travelers’ experience,” Fraport management said in a statement.
