The Civitel Creta Beach Hotel on Crete recently donated a Dacia Duster vehicle, valued at 13,500 euros, to the fire service of the city of Heraklion. The donation underscores the hotel’s commitment to supporting local institutions that play a critical role in public safety and community well-being. According to the hotel’s management, the Dacia Duster will enhance the fire department’s ability to respond to emergencies, particularly in remote or hard-to-access areas of Crete. The island, renowned for its natural beauty, faces periodic environmental challenges, highlighting the importance of well-equipped emergency services to protect residents, visitors, and the environment. “We are honored to contribute to the Heraklion Fire Service,” said Civitel Creta Beach Hotel General Manager George Perakis. “We deeply appreciate the vital role firefighters play in protecting the environment and our communities, and it’s a privilege to support their efforts in this way.” The Chief of the Cretan Fire Service expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting the significance of private sector support during challenging times. Such contributions, he noted, strengthen the ability of public services to meet increasing demands effectively. Civitel Creta Beach Hotel, part of the Civitel Hotels & Resorts Group, has previously engaged in community-focused initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability, safety, and environmental preservation. This latest action aligns with its broader corporate social responsibility strategy.
