Accor, a leading global hospitality company, has announced the signing of an agreement for the Mövenpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota, marking the debut of the Mövenpick brand in Greece. Set to open in spring 2025, the resort will be managed by Pitoulis S.A., a prominent Greek hotel operator.

Nestled in the scenic Epirus region, the Mövenpick Resort will offer 67 stylish accommodations, including deluxe and executive suites with private pools and courtyards.

“The signing of the first Mövenpick in Greece marks an important milestone in our ambition to expand within this dynamic and culturally rich country,” Patrick Mendes, CEO of Premium, Midscale & Economy at Accor Europe & North Africa, said. “Mövenpick is internationally recognized for its gastronomic excellence, and Mövenpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota will fully embody the brand’s philosophy.”

Guests at the Mövenpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota can look forward to exceptional culinary experiences at venues like Skipper’s Beach Bar, the Island’s Bar by the pool, and Thalassa restaurant, all emphasizing Greek and Mediterranean flavors. Additional highlights at the resort include two sea-view swimming pools, as well as separate pools for families and adults.

The Pitoulis family, founders of Pitoulis S.A., shared their vision of elevating the Epirus region to international prominence.

“This partnership with Accor represents a milestone for us and the first international collaboration in the region. It ensures our hotel’s global recognition while honoring its heritage,” said Vasilis Pitoulis, Co-Founder.

Mövenpick, established in 1948, is renowned for its Swiss hospitality and culinary expertise, with over 120 properties worldwide. The brand’s expansion into Greece reflects its commitment to innovative gastronomy and fostering meaningful travel experiences. Recent openings include properties in Azerbaijan, Belgium, and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

With this new venture, Mövenpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota aims to position Epirus as a must-visit destination, blending luxury hospitality with local culture and breathtaking natural beauty.
