Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni is currently visiting Paris to promote Greece as a leading travel destination and enhance tourism flows from France, one of Greece’s key markets.

According to a statement from the Greek Tourism Ministry, her visit is part of the broader strategy to increase visitor numbers to Greece year-round. France consistently ranks among the top countries in terms of inbound tourism to Greece, making it a crucial target for the ministry’s tourism promotion efforts.

During her visit, Minister Kefalogianni will participate as a speaker at the Delphi Paris Forum II, where she will address the topic: “Cultural Giants in a Competitive Global Tourism Market: The Case of France and Greece.” The event will take place at the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée in Paris.

The Delphi Paris Forum II, scheduled for January 23-24, will bring together French and Greek government officials, policymakers, economists, academics, and leading business figures. The forum aims to strengthen the longstanding relationship between the two nations and explore opportunities for further collaboration across various sectors.

In addition to the forum, Minister Kefalogianni will attend a special event at UNESCO House titled “Culture and Creativity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”

Throughout her visit, the Greek Tourism Minister will engage with French media outlets and hold a series of meetings with representatives from French tourism organizations. She will also visit the French branch of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) to discuss strategies and priorities for promoting Greece within the French market.

I wouldn’t look to France for any sort of guidance on tourism they treat visitors terrible especially in the north of the country and Paris being one of the worst for being inhospitable.
