UK leisure airline Jet2.com and tour operator Jet2holidays have announced an increase in flights to Kalamata and Chania on Crete for summer 2026, driven by high demand from customers and independent travel agents seeking early summer sunshine in Greece.

The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator have added more services to both popular destinations in early summer, with flights now operating to both hotspots from the beginning of April for the first time, earlier than ever before.

“Kalamata and Crete (Chania) are enormously popular destinations, and we continue to see strong demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to book or travel earlier in the summer season or for Easter,” said Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

Flights to Chania will begin from April 3 and to Kalamata from April 5, making the new services perfect for those looking to get away at Easter and in the early summer season.

“As ever, we have reacted quickly to that demand by extending the Summer 26 seasons to Kalamata and Chania, providing customers with the holiday choices that they want,” he added.

The extended summer season to Kalamata will be available from Manchester and London Stansted Airports. Additionally, Jet2.com is enhancing its Chania program for summer 2026 with more flights from Birmingham, Manchester, and London Stansted Airports, offering greater flexibility to both holidaymakers and independent travel agents.

The additional flights, now on sale, for Kalamata and Chania include:

– Birmingham Airport: New weekly Friday flights to Chania running from April 3 to 24, 2026. These flights complement the existing schedule of twice-weekly services operating from May to October 30.

– Manchester Airport: Twice-weekly flights (Tuesdays and Fridays) to Chania added from April 3 to 28, 2026, along with extra Sunday flights to Kalamata from April 5 to 26, 2026. Jet2 currently offers up to three weekly flights to Chania from May to the end of October and up to two weekly flights to Kalamata from May to early November.

– London Stansted Airport: Additional Tuesday flights to Chania from April 7 to 28, 2026, plus extra Sunday flights to Kalamata from April 5 to 26, 2026. Jet2’s current schedule includes up to three weekly flights to Chania from May to October and up to two weekly flights to Kalamata from May to early November.
