The Hellenic Event Rental Companies Association (HERCA) recently announced its new Board of Directors, with a vision to enhance Greece’s MICE and concerts industry by prioritizing safety, fostering innovation, promoting sustainability, and strengthening international collaborations. Founded in 2020, HERCA aims to serve as a central hub and connecting link for rental companies involved in events, concerts, conferences, television productions, and cultural, entertainment, and social events. HERCA’s new Board of Directors consists of seven members as follows: – President (Podimatas Group): Panagiotis Podimatas – Vice President A’ (Division): Paris Anagnostopoulos – Vice President B’ (Power Generators): Kostas Voudouris – General Secretary (Metron Group): Natalia-Sevasti Hatzi – Treasurer (Papadimas AVL): Panagiotis Papadimas – Member (VDL Audiovisual): Errikos Nikolaos Vidalis – Member (DO RE MI): Nikolaos Albertos “The potential of our industry is undeniable, and we must seize every opportunity to foster growth and collaboration,” said Panagiotis Podimatas, the newly appointed president of HERCA. “Our mission is to transform challenges into opportunities that highlight the creativity and expertise within our sector.” HERCA’s vision Photo source: HERCA HERCA represents Greece’s professional event equipment rental sector and focuses on strengthening the industry by promoting new collaborations. The MICE, concerts, and producers’ markets are among the most profitable and strategically significant segments of thematic tourism. They generate high revenues, attract visitors with greater purchasing power, promote local economies and drive the development of infrastructure, such as hotels and conference centers. Through training programs and partnerships with domestic and international institutions, the association aims to: – Continuously enhance the quality of services through training initiatives and collaborations with domestic and international organizations. – Promote sustainable development within the events sector. – Broaden the sector’s representation on an international scale.
