The data was released by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), following feedback from tour operators during its participation in the Ferien Messe 2025 travel exhibition in Vienna. Approximately 100,000 Austrian travelers visited the Ionian Islands in 2024, according to the same source. Building on these positive trends, the Ionian Islands Region attended the exhibition, where it showcased the islands’ unique attractions. From January 16 to 19, the region’s pavilion attracted travelers of all ages, along with significant interest from media and tourism professionals.
