The new TRYP by Wyndham Piraeus Port hotel will be developed in partnership with Greek construction company Zafido Holding Ltd, following a recently signed cooperation agreement. Scheduled to open in September 2026, the 65-room hotel will be located at the intersection of Kolokotroni 83 and Sotiros Dios streets. It will feature modern amenities, including a restaurant-bar and a gym, catering to both business and leisure travelers. A strategic collaboration for growth Vassilis Themelidis. According to Vassilis Themelidis, Regional Director for Southern and Eastern Europe at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the partnership with Zafido Holding Ltd — an emerging player in the hospitality sector — sets the foundation for a distinctive hotel in Piraeus. “Piraeus is an emerging destination in the hospitality sector, and we believe it will play a leading role in the coming years,” said Themelidis. “At the same time, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continues to expand in Attica, strengthening its network through strategic partnerships with companies that drive quality investments.” Zafido Holding Ltd, a leading construction company specializing in residential and tourism developments, has identified hospitality as a strategic priority, recognizing the tourism industry’s strong economic impact. “The collaboration with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts marks an important step in our expansion,” said Zafido Holding Ltd General Manager Thomas Kyriacou. “Through this strategic partnership, we aim to develop hotels that combine innovation, high aesthetics, and superior construction quality, offering unique experiences to our guests.” Thomas Kyriacou. Zafido Holding: Future developments in Athens, Piraeus & Thessaloniki Beyond this project, Zafido Holding Ltd is actively expanding its portfolio with new hotel developments in Athens, Piraeus, and Thessaloniki. Upcoming projects include a five-star hotel in Mikrolimano with 100 rooms and suites, as well as a boutique hotel in Syntagma, housed in a restored neoclassical building. “We take pride in pioneering projects that align with modern market demands,” added Kyriacou.
