British Airways recently revealed that Greece is one of the most popular European destinations this summer and on the same par as Paris, Rome, Nice, Madrid and Barcelona.

Giorgos Zermas recently assumed the position of commercial director for Greece and Cyprus at Delta Airlines.

Lufthansa and Egypt Air recently signed a code-share contract in a move to cooperate more closely in the future. Chairman and CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa, Wolfgang Mayrhuber, and chairman of Egypt Air, Eng. Atef Abd El Hamid, signed the contract that marked the start of the partnership.

AirSea Lines officially suspended its programmed flights from Lavrio seadrome to islands in the Aegean but it said it would continue flights as planned for the Ionian islands and Brindisi, Italy, from Patra.

AirMax Revenue Manager features a comprehensive range of decision-support processes including data collection, forecasting, overbooking, optimization, alerting and performance measurement and reporting.

Olympic Airlines has expanded its fleet as it recently incorporated a new aircraft Boeing 737-400. The new aircraft was acquired through long-term lease from Los Angeles-based International Lease Finance Corporation and was inducted under Greek registry with certification.

Korean Air, South Korea’s largest carrier, announced it would launch a new low cost carrier within two to three years to compete against the growing legion of budget airlines in the North Asia region.

Air Transat, Canada’s leading travel holiday airline, announced the addition of a new Airbus A310-300. For this summer, Air Transat will be serving 30 European cities including Barcelona, Malaga, Vienna and Athens. Together with its sister company, Transat Holidays, and its European partners, Air Transat will offer passengers not only direct flights but also an extensive range of tours, vehicle rental and accommodation.
