Nike’s “We Run” series will continue its momentum of celebrating, motivating and inspiring athletes around the world on Sunday 6 October with a 10 km road race in Athens, Greece.

Greek and foreign ultramarathoners will follow the footsteps of ancient Athenian long distance runner Pheidippides and cross 246 kilometers from Athens to Sparta during the 31st SPARTATHLON ultramarathon race to be held 27-28 September.

Athens – the birthplace of the marathon race – is getting ready to host a major new international event this November on the sidelines of this year’s Athens Classic Marathon.

Many leading and distinguished athletes will join Greek American Supreme Marathon runner, Dean Karnazes, in the marathon race “Navarino Challenge” taking place in Messinia and Arcadia next month.

Messinia and Arcadia will be in the spotlight this October as the Greek destinations will host the “Navarino Challenge,” the first marathon race that aims to the awareness regarding childhood obesity and the benefits of the Mediterranean diet.

Costa Navarino wrapped up its first “Summer Junior Golf Camp” on 21 June and now invites kids to participate in the second event in September.

The international golf tournament Aegean Airlines Pro-Am was held with success, for the eighth consecutive year, in the award-winning signature courses of Costa Navarino, Messinia, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course.

Costa Navarino will introduce the exciting sport of golf at the first “Summer Junior Golf Camp,” an entertaining, sports orientated program targeted towards children between 8 to 17 years of age.

The Acropolis Rally 2013 “Rally of the Gods” -part of the World Rally Championship (WRC)- kicked off today, Friday, 31 May, and will run through 2 June.

The countdown for the 8th International Alexander the Great Marathon has begun! The top sport event in northern Greece will be held Sunday 21 April, two weeks before Easter.
