FerryScreen System for ferries

FerryScreen, a reservations and online ticketing system for coastal shipping companies that’s owned by Analysis SA says it issued more than one million coastal lines’ tickets for Anek and Blue Star Ferries this year and by the end of 2001 the number will exceed 1,250,000.

The program has already been installed at 400 agencies. In 2002 their number is expected to surpass 600. Travel agencies connected to FerryScreen can check schedules, access cabin availability, make reservations or corrections (cancellations), as well as the issuing of tickets.

FerryScreen says it was the first program on which the new coastal lines’ ticket implementation was based. The new ticket is a boarding card that at the same time allows the passengers’ electronic check in to take place without delay, thus preventing passenger congestion at ports.
