The capital’s biggest and most modern exhibition center, Expo Athens, is to host this year’s Touristiko Panorama from May 4 to 7. The 32,500-square-meter complex is located at a central junction on Attiki Odos. Exit 14, heading towards Markopoulos, leads straight to the entrance of the center, while Exit 15 that cuts Messoghion Avenue leads to the Center through Anthoussa Avenue.

The Eleftherios Venizelos international airport is just a few kilometers away, and the Athens suburban railway is in the vicinity of Expo Athens and connects the center with the Athens subway system. The center also sports a spacious parking lot of 50,000 square meters.

This year’s Panorama coincides with the 50 years of tourism activity carried on by the fair’s organizer, the Kalofolia Group, which celebrates the event with presentations of alternative forms of tourism available in Greece, such as Greek gastronomy and wellness tourism.

As well, the day prior to the opening of the fair, the organizer plans a tourism seminar at a central Athenian hotel. The event will include speakers on city, marine, spa and rural tourism themes.

The honored destination this year is Halkidiki. The fair will promote the area’s natural wonders, its culture and traditions, its history, and its modern infrastructure.

And although specifics were not revealed, the organizer says the honored domestic destination for the 2007 Panorama fair has already been selected.
