Company updates easyCruiseOne To Sail the Greek Islands by GTP editing team 1 January 2007 written by GTP editing team 1 January 2007 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 30 EasyCruise announced that easyCruiseOne will sail the Greek islands this summer, beginning May 31, 2007, offering three to 14-day cruises to 11 islands (Cyclades and Saronic). The eleven islands include popular islands such as Mykonos, Paros and Ios, and less well-known islands such as Milos, Amorgos, and Folegandros. Stelios Haji-Ioannou, serial entrepreneur and chairman of the easyGroup, said that the new itinerary was unique because “it is the only way you can visit up to 11 different islands in one go, a number of which have been previously unexplored as holiday destinations and we are confident that the itineraries will prove very popular with customers.” The cruises have been tailored to offer customers the choice of holiday pace. Customers can choose a weekend break to a two-week holiday with prices as low as £30 per person for a three-night mini break (based on two people sharing a standard cabin). Unlike traditional cruising, easyCruise only sails for a few hours each morning arriving in each destination at around lunchtime so that passengers can enjoy the day and evening ashore, possibly exploring the villages and beaches or eating at the local tavernas. Mr. Haji-Ioannou explained, “The new flexible itineraries allow passengers to experience the alternative Aegean, whether they want to explore untouched beaches or want a more lively holiday, and all of which they can tailor to the amount of time they have available – a weekend, week or even longer.” EasyCruiseOne, has been outfitted with the company’s new livery of grey with orange trim, a new bar and restaurant, designed by the famous Dutch designer, Jan Des Bouvrie. On board, passengers can relax in the hot tub, enjoy a leisurely meal or drink, sunbathe on one of the two sundecks, work out at the gym or listen to the sounds of the resident DJ. The ship’s 86 cabins, available in twins, quads and suites, have been redesigned according to customer feedback.
