The Municipality of Thira recently launched a new travel web site and aims to promote the island of Santorini, Greece, as an ideal tourism destination. The new website www.santorini.gr features a modern design, high quality photographs, videos, detailed information in Greek and English and a mini guide for those traveling to the island for only a few days. Oh high interest is the “Your Holidays” option that offers info on specialized interests of visitors who plan to visit the island with family, friends, for honeymoon, etc. The website has a handy menu so visitors can quickly and easily find what interests them with a single “click.” Santorini was recently voted best honeymoon destination in the world for 2012-2013 by U.S. News Travel.
