Under revised process, all applicants are required to physically appear at the Indian Visa Application Center for enrolment of Biometric (finger prints and facial) Traits. The new process is being implemented gradually in all countries. Applicants below 12 years and over 70 years of age are exempt from this requirement. From March 2013 onwards, “Biometric Enrolment” is mandatory and no visa applications will be accepted without it. For further information, press here.
