Laws, Regulations & Policy Small Greek Hotels To Be Excused From OAEE Contributions by GTP editing team 4 March 2013 written by GTP editing team 4 March 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 7 Owners of some 20,000 small Greek hotel units with a capacity of less than 10 rooms are expected soon to be excused from mandatory insurance contributions to the Self-Employed Workers’ Insurance Organization (OAEE), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels said today, 4 March, in a press release. For years the hotel chamber had referred to the “unfairness” in regards to the fact that hoteliers of small Greek units were obliged to pay hefty contributions to OAEE while rooms-to-let units of the same capacity were excluded. In the next few days, the Ministry of Labor will discuss a draft law in Parliament that sees to exclude small hotels with less than 10 rooms from the insurance obligation to OAEE. According to the draft law, the owners of small hotels will be able to join OGA (Agricultural Insurance Organization) or remain in the insurance fund they already belong to.
