Company updates Aegean Airlines Announces New Routes To Istanbul, Cairo by GTP editing team 6 June 2013 written by GTP editing team 6 June 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 52 Aegean Airlines Greek carrier Aegean Airlines has announced the launch of two new routes linking Heraklion, Crete, to Istanbul and Athens to Cairo. Aegean will launch the Heraklion-Istanbul service from 13 June 2013. Flights will take place twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday. Also, from 3 October 2013, the company will launch the Athens-Cairo route with flights taking place every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Both routes will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. Special announcement Aegean Airlines announced that 3,000 tickets for the Heraklion-Istanbul route that will launch in a week, are available at 59 euros each, including taxes.
