tourists_IMGP0171The most visited Greek State museums and archaeological sites will operate from 8am to 8pm, while those that attract a smaller audience will operate from 8am to 5pm, according to a recent announcement made by Deputy Culture Minister Kostas Tzavaras.

This should come as a relief to Greek tourism professionals as the operating hours of state museums and archaeological sites had become a major problem. The majority of museums and sites closed at noon, which made organized visits sometimes impossible for tourists.
