Airtickets.gr Supports Greek Tourism Through Sponsorship And Technology

Greek online travel agency Airtickets.gr has announced a sponsorship agreement with the interactive destination portal discovergreece.com and is inviting its customers to “discover Greece” while booking their air tickets.

Discovergreece.com is a high quality website created to showcase the complete portfolio of Greek tourism destinations and experiences.

The online travel agency is supporting the effort of discovergreece.com and has included a link to the portal on its new international website Airtickets.com.

“We are very proud to support the efforts of Marketing Greece and the excellent tool it has created – discovergreece.com – to show the world a fresh, new dimension of the Greek product,” Dimitris Kontogeorgos, founder and CEO of airtickets.gr, said.

Discovergreece.com was launched earlier this year by private marketing company Marketing Greece to promote the country to markets abroad and increase tourist inflows into the country.

“For Marketing Greece, airtickets.com confirms that entrepreneurship in the tourism sector sees the value of synergies and long-term investment in marketing the destination,” Iosif Parsalis, the general manager of Marketing Greece, said.

In addition, aiming to offer fully integrated services to Greece’s visitors and to further support incoming tourism, Airtickets.gr has launched a new app that allows customers to book air tickets while making hotel reservations.

Having selected accommodation at a specific hotel, customers can also book air tickets online through Airtickets.gr without having to “exit” the hotel’s web page.
