TAIPED: Three Binding Offers Made For 14 Regional Airports In Greece

Kavala_airportThree consortia have submitted binding offers to Greek state privatization fund TAIPED for the right to manage and operate 14 Greek regional airports, it was announced on 10 October.

The tender concerns two groups of regional airports that will be conceded for a period of 40 years with the possibility of an extension for another 10 years.

The consortia that submitted offers are CASA (Corporation America S.A.)-METKA, Fraport AG-Slentel Ltd and Vinci Airports SAS-ΑΚΤOR Concessions.

The 14 airports are divided into two groups. Group A includes airports in Thessaloniki, Corfu, Chania, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Aktion and Kavala and Group B includes airports on Rhodes, Kos, Samos, Lesvos, Mykonos, Santorini and Skiathos.

The tender process will continue with the review of the validity of the technical bids and legal documentation. After receiving the recommendation of the project advisors, the board of directors of TAIPED will approve the consortia that will proceed to the next stage of the tender and unseal their financial offers.

The award decision is expected to be completed within November.
