Professional and aspiring travel bloggers based in Greece had the chance to network, exchange ideas and be informed on the latest events at the official launch of TBG, established to promote the interests of travel bloggers covering Greece, as well as educate in travel blogging, promote genuine travel experience and introduce Greek travel destinations. “Travel blogging is the next big thing and there’s a need to take it to the next level,” TBG cofounder Elena Sergeeva said. Sergeeva, who runs travel blog Passion for Greece, added that awareness must be raised about the importance of travel blogging. Marissa Tejada and Elena Sergeeva, Founders of TBG. “We believe that this will facilitate positive relationships for both Greece-based travel professionals and travel bloggers,” she added. “Thousands of writers and photographers now travel the world but niche travel blogs are becoming very important, since readers trust sources knowledgeable on a specific subject, and that includes Greece,” said Marissa Tejada, cofounder of TBG and founder of My Greece, My Travels. “TBG reaches out to a growing community of bloggers focused on Greece travel and culture by helping them make local connections and hone their craft,” Tejada added. TBG is currently working with hotel brands, hospitality professionals and Greek destination representatives to organize hosted travel experiences for its members.
