ESN_GreeceThe 1st ESN Greece Training National Platform event organized in late March by the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens and the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) was a great success.

The two-day event was held on the grounds of the TEI of Athens and participants attended training seminars, experiential workshops and were introduced to the ongoing “exchangeability project” as well as to the volunteer SocialErasmus Project.

The aim of the event was to provide the ESN Greece network members with valuable information on the Erasmus program in Greece and inform all Greek students getting ready to take part in an exchange program.

The ESN is a Europe-wide student association aiming to provide support and develop intercultural understanding through student exchange. It was established in 1989 and since then acts on a voluntary basis under the principal “Students helping students”. It currently has 13,500 members from over 450 local sections in 37 countries in universities, polytechnics and colleges.

The Athens TEI is one of 21 student unions participating in ESN Greece, part of the ESN international network.

ESN Greece is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit network working towards the smooth integration of foreign students in the local community. Local associations operate in Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Patra, Crete, Lamia, Larissa, Kozani and Komotini.

GTP was a communication sponsor of the event.
