During an interview in Athens, which also included talk about taxes, Mr. Lamnidis agreed that what is best for Greece right now is a deal with the country’s creditors. When asked by CNBC’s reporter if “Greece would be better off if it went back to the drachma” because it would boost the tourism sector in particular, Mr. Lamnidis answered that he did not agree with that. “Tourism is a firm reflection of the country… We are firm believers of the euro and we want Greece to stay in the Eurozone.
