Under the motto: “One Voice, One Expression” hotel associations and chamber representatives met at the Magnesia Chamber offices in Volos this week, where they presented a business plan and discussed the final details for the establishment of the body. Sectors professionals, including Kalambaka Deputy Mayor for Tourism Konstantinos Rados, Kalambaka Hotel Association president Sotiris Famisis, Lamia Hotel Association president Katerina Koutra and Evrytania Hoteliers Union secretary Sofia Flega, who had again met on January 27 in Lamia, were given a tour of the Nea Anchialos Airport. The said body will involve local sector professionals and is of vital importance in order to meet the increasing demands and to establish alternative ways to promote the region at international and local trade fairs. Projects in the pipeline include two small-scale planetariums at Meteora and Olympus, as well as underwater museums and scuba parks on the islands of Alonissos, Skopelos and Skiathos and in the village of Amaliapolis.
